Vintage Decorating

You guys know how much I love to find ways to incorporate vintage products and ideas into my house. So today I am going to show you two of my favorite ways I have done so that I realized I have not ever shown on my blog. Silly me! 🙂

The first has a story with it. Well, sort of…My grandparents used to bottle wine back in the day. And by bottle wine I mean they once tried it and that was it…lol!

But before doing so they collected a bunch of wine bottles to bottle the wine in. This was back in the 40s…So, after my grandfather passed away and after the awful hurricane that took our lake house, we were going through all the stuff in their garage and came across a box of these awesome, vintage wine bottles. It was love at first sight for me.

I took them home still not sure what I was going to do with them. Well, they have found a home across the top of kitchen cabinets. I love the bright mint, brown, blue, and white colors and love the fact that they make me think of my grandparents.

The second vintage product I want to share with you was spun off a Pinterest idea. First of all you should know I love aprons! I literally have over 50…I saw the idea to use a rake to hold your necklaces. I immediately thought of how perfect it would be to showcase some of my favorite aprons.

My sweet husband got an old rake out of his grandmothers barn and hung this beauty up for me. What do you think?

Good thing those bottles stood the test of time. Love the way you displayed them and that rake looks awesome holding your pretty aprons.
