Love Weekend Shenanigans & Weekend Finds

I hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s weekend! I know Valentine’s Day gets a lot of slack. And yes I agree it is a Hallmark holiday. But I still love it. A day all about chocolate, flowers, and expressing your love for others? Sign me up!

This year I was so lucky to have two Valentine’s. My incredible hubby and sweet baby boy. These two melt my heart! In half.

We decided to spend our Valentine’s Day as a family at the antique market and then go to an early dinner. We had a blast and found some great finds I thought I would share with you.

We were so excited to find the bottom two potato and meal sacks. We plan to use old barn wood to frame them and hang them in our living. We were inspired by Joanna Gaines from HGTV’s Fixer Upper on this project. (Side bar: I LOVE THIS SHOW! Everything about it. The family dynamic, the style, the decor…love it all! Whose with me?) We paid $15 for these two sacks then walked a few exhibits down and found the top two for $5. I couldn’t pass up the great deal and decided to purchase them as well to make in to pillows for my front porch.

Our next find was this old Pepsi crate. We loved it and paid $10 for it. Now I just have to figure out how I want my arrangement to look on the table. I know, I know. It needs more than pine cones.

Next was the find above….I just really like it and thought it would be cute on the built in book shelves with some greenery in it. We paid $20 for this item.

Last but not least was the galvanized “Love” sign that we hung over our bed. This was probably my favorite find of all! We paid $35 for it but I think it makes our room.

We concluded the weekend with a big breakfast Sunday morning and babysitting our nephews and niece.

Hope you all had a lovely V-Day weekend!
