The Day We Became Pirates

We had the best week together as a family on vacation in 30A, our favorite place to go to the beach. (If you follow me on Instagram you have seen lots of our highlights already). If you live anywhere near the Gulf Coast I highly encourage you to visit 30A if you haven’t been. It is absolutely gorgeous! The sand is white and super soft and the water looks like the Caribbean in its clear turquoise colors. We are always lucky enough to see lots of dolphins and there are plenty of awesome restaurants and things to do including great shopping. I promise to do a post later sharing some of our beach tips with two little ones on the beach for 10+ hours each day but today wanted to share with you all one of the highlights of the trip. Or, accordingly to E, THE BEST DAY EVER.

Currently Easton is SUPER into pirates. Like he is having a pirate themed birthday party next month and dresses up as a pirate everyday so when we had the opportunity to go on the Buccaneer Pirate Cruise in Destin we had some high expectations. Ya’ll it totally lived up to all our highest expectations and then some. This awesome pirate cruise takes place aboard a legit pirate ship captained and manned by real pirates. From the moment you come on board it is a ton of fun. The journey starts off before you even leave with allowing you to tour the pirate ship and get drinks and pirate swag from the on ship bar (which by the way they had some great drinks for the parents). Over the course of the next two hours on your sail around the bay you get to take part in water gun battles, sword fights, swabbing the deck (the cutest), face painting, a pirate story in a secret pirate room below ship, our favorite part, hunting for treasure which you find in a real treasure box in the bottom of the bay that you get to take home, and much more! When you return you get to shoot the real cannon. E has not stopped talking about it. Honestly it was so much fun for all of us! We even got to see dolphins swim by super close up.

I seriously can not recommend this fun pirate adventure enough. You won’t regret it! If you are interested in learning more visit this link. Thanks to Buccaneer Pirate Cruise for an evening our son will never forget!
