As many of you may remember from my earlier post Josh and I were lucky enough to get this awesome table for free through Free Cycle and chairs for free from family!
We were also lucky enough to find an iron umbrella stand for $5 at a yard sale. Although we are very thankful to have this patio furniture they were hammy downs and were way overdue for a makeover.
Since we are moving in a little over two weeks (as long as closing goes well) we have decided to try to do all the many projects around the house we have been meaning to complete for months before we move. The weather was gorgeous this weekend so we decided it was time for us to makeover our patio furniture. After two trips to Walmart for spray paint (who knew it would take so much paint?!) and several sore thumbs and sweaty bodies later, our set was complete and looks awesome if I do say so myself!
Now we just need to buy new cushions and an umbrella since ours have beat the dust. Any suggestions on where I can get new cushions without spending a fortune? Several of my followers on Facebook suggested Gardenridge but we do not have one near us.
While researching patio furniture options I found out that there is a company that can refinish patio furniture for you! This company, based out of California, can update the look (paint, strap, and fabric) of your patio furniture and thus save you up to 70% compared to buying new. I love this idea because it not only saves you money but it’s great for the environment!
The company, called Patio Guys’, has a highly trained team of patio furniture refinishing experts that take damaged, worn out, faded, and mis-matched patio furniture (sounds like the Thompson household patio furniture in the before picture) and refinish each item to look better than new! Check them out and get your outdoor furniture repaired or be brave like we were and refinish it yourself.
I can’t wait to get some new cushions and an umbrella and we will be all set to entertain outdoors in this gorgeous weather we have been having in Georgia.
