Oh the Benefits of Buying a Home

Buying a home is one of those monumental, exciting, life moments when you are finally able to purchase an asset which you have saved for and dreamed about for years!

 

As you all know, owning a home is the American dream and why wouldn’t it be? I mean let’s be honest…who doesn’t sit and dream at some point in their life of building their dream house? I’m talking about a home that would meet every last need and want of your family. Not to mention there are SO very many benefits to home ownership including: 

  • You can finally start putting your money toward an investment each money instead of “throwing” away your money in rent.  
  • You can finally break out that pretty paint color you have been swooning over and paint your rooms the colors you want them to be and think it is WORTH it instead of wasting time and money on painting rooms in a home you are renting.
  • And, best of all if you ask m e, when you build a home you can personalize your home as you wish during the building process. Always wanted a huge, walk-in master closet? Or how about a chute that goes from your bedroom to laundry room so you don’t ever have to carry a laundry basket around again? Being a southern girl at heart my new home would have a big walk around covered porch. When you build a home you can have all this and more!
  • Oh and don’t forget newly built homes are more energy efficient so you’ll be saving lots of money every year which means you will have more money to decorate! 🙂

Don’t get me wrong…I love an old house with all its character and charm but it’s great that building a home allows you to dictate what it looks like and ensure it has just the right amount of living space.
When you go the new home route the possibilities are only as endless as your imagination. We have decided that we are going to have our next home built so I can have that Craftsman style house I’ve always dreamed of with that large porch ;).
