DIY Ironing Board Holder

So I got a little crafty last night and wanted to share with you all my latest DIY project for a DIY Ironing Board Holder.  This project was very easy to make and cost only $5!

As you can see from the above picture it is just as functional as an over the door ironing board holder but much more attractive. Plus I dislike the over the door holders as they hit the door and thus are noisy whenever you want to open or close the door…not to mention they scratch up the door.

To make this project the only thing I had to purchase was the hooks. They were $2.50 a piece at Lowe’s. I then cut an old pallet board down to the size I needed and sanded and stained it. The only step left was to screw in the wall hooks into the pallet board. Ta-DA!

I’m loving the finished result. Told ya it was an easy project!

How clever! That looks very neat and I can tell it would work wonderfully. I just lean my ironing board up against the wall in my closet but it falls down fairly often…

I NEED THIS! We have nowhere to put our board – our laundry is in the garage, so right now the ironing board stays standing up in the nursery all the time. I told my hubbo we have to get it out before the baby arrives. This might do the trick!!
