Baby Bath Time
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for AVEENO® Eczema Therapy. I received product samples as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
In our house we take a try to take a bath every night single night. My toddler gets very messy during the day and LOVES bath time so it is basically a win-win. So much so that you have to be very careful not to say the “B” word unless you are 100% sure you have time to give him a bath because as soon as you say “bath” he goes running for the tub and starts stripping.
I’m not going to lie…I love the smell of a baby fresh out of the tub. To be totally transparent I used to use Johnson and Johnson on my little guy but quickly learned that I could not. My little guy has very sensitive skin and suffers from eczema when products hit his skin. Plus the more I started learning about the Johnson and Johnson products the wearier I grew of using that product and quickly stopped using it. The last year I have been on the look out for a bath soap and lotion I could use on his dry skin that would cause his eczema to swell up. I am thrilled that I have finally found a product that works for us and knew I had to share with those other parents whose child might has have eczema.
AVEENO®/AVEENO® Baby Eczema Therapy Collection was developed by leading dermatologists and awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance for providing gentle, superior ingredients to sooth skin with eczema. What I love most about the AVEENO® brand is that they are known for harassing the power of natural ingredients so you don’t have to worry that you are rubbing chemicals on to your babies body. Their fragrance-free, hypoallergenic products are formulated with soothing ACTIVE NATURALS®Colloidal Oatmeal to care for the four symptoms of eczema which included itching, roughness, dryness, and irritation. I have tried several of their products on my son.
The first I use on a as needed basis when his skin seems extra dry or I see the eczema flaring up. It is basically a packet you dump in your bath that creates an oatmeal bath for your baby. It leaves his skin feeling very soft but fair warning…it does make a bit of a mess in your tub but it is very worth it.
The other products I use EVERY SINGLE DAY now on my son are the hand cream and moisturizing cream. I rub the moisturizing cream all over his body and use the hand cream on the areas that tend to be most effected by eczema such as the back of his knees and his arms. When used as a regular regimen these products greatly help break the cycle of irritated skin so when though their is no cure for eczema the symptoms can be managed.
I love these products and know that if your little one suffers from eczema you will like them too!
