A Florida Wedding

I’m in that season of life right now where a large majority of my friends are getting married or beginning to have babies. It’s such a fun stage of life but boy is it an expensive one! Especially when as of now we have seven weddings in between now and October with a few more friends that are probably getting engaged soon. Bring on the wedding cake. 🙂

I was thrilled to be a part of one of my closest friend’s weddings a couple weekends ago in St. Pete, FL. She and her now husband are one of the sweetest couples I have ever met and absolutely perfect together! Their wedding was so unique and simply gorgeous so I thought I would show you some pictures of some of the highlights of events they had at their wedding. They got married in their home church in Florida and had the reception at a venue on the beach in St. Pete.

Instead of having a guest book the their lovely couple had guests sign a Jenga piece and place it a glass jar.

The programs were handed out in a basket to guests upon arrival to the ceremony.

One of the really cool things about the wedding venue (besides the fact that it was their home church and also just so happened to have this gorgeous stained glass at the front of the church) was the fact that they roped off the main aisle until it was time for wedding party to enter. What a cool way to leave the wedding aisle a sacred and special place for the bride and her wedding party. The venue was loaded with lanterns and candles which made for beautiful front scenery. They even filled the table in the front of the church with wine glass placed upside down with candles on top…it was so pretty!

As you can see the reception venue was gorgeous as well and you couldn’t beat the gorgeous sunset over the beach in the background. Some of my favorite things about the reception was the fact that the bride decided to have a grass dance floor instead of going with a wood floor with really was very pretty and worked great. They also had a photo booth which was oh so much fun. Check out this fun photo of my dad and I at the wedding in the photo booth (unfortunately my sweet hubby wasn’t able to attend since the wedding was in Florida and he couldn’t get off work but I was super glad my Daddy was there):

It was a gorgeous wedding and a wonderful celebration of a union between two of my closest friends! (Check out my pretty bridal bouquet below).

Wow, three in one month is a lot! That's pretty much every weekend. Better get your dancing shoes ready. 🙂
